Description

Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, seasonally-heated swimming pool (mid-March through October, as needed) and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

Our unit was very nice with comfortable furniture except for the master bed mattress. It was way too soft. There was only one useable beach chair. Two chairs are rusted and broke.

Working with Bender is as easy as pie. The folks are awesome. Sandpiper is a wonderful place to get a large group of folks together. The rooms are open to the outside and in close proximity. The pool is large enough to accommodate everyone and the beach is a few easy steps away.

We loved the complex setup! The inner porch area outside the front door is social and private at the same time, along with views of the pool and ocean. Our unit had a great floor plan and upgraded appliances. We will return next year!

Another great week at the Sandpiper! Beautifully decorated unit with very comfortable beds! Assortment of kitchen gadgets. - Almost too many for the counter space. Only negative is that this unit does not have a keypad on the door. Inconvenient for checking in because you have to go back to Bender to get them after the unit is cleaned. Also just for getting in and out of the unit. Overall very nice unit!

The Sandpiper is a wonderful place to stay and the staff at Bender is awesome to work with. We really enjoy the social aspect of the Sandpiper and the fact that there is lots of outdoor deck space to gather and meet people. This particular unit that we stayed in this year, however, was not in keeping with what we have experienced in previous years. 4B should not be rented again until it has a deep cleaning. I was very unhappy with the lack of cleanliness. Things that need attention: King size sheets provided for a queen size bed, towels were stained and gross, couch and kitchen chairs were stained, outside of fridge and dishwasher need to be cleaned, shower doors had not been cleaned, dirty dishes in the cupboard, and the cupboards were so full of stuff, there was no room for food, way too much furniture and decor...it was in the way, dryer lint trap needs cleaning that we couldn’t reach, vacuum cleaner just blows dirt around, broom was disgusting, both toilets are wobbly and need to be tightened. While I would recommend the Sandpiper, I would NOT recommend this particular unit.

Liked the look of 4B. Can certainly say it may need a few less furnishings or smaller ones. Love the 3 recliners in living room and accent wall. Canoe in hallway is in the way as well as the nightstand in master bedroom partially blocking the entrance to the bathroom. Floors needed mopping. Would choose this again though.

I always love to stay at Sandpiper. I wish there was less glassware and glass plates(I don't want to break anything)for everyday use at the condo. I wish Bender would have a requirement what every condo should have in each room. Mine was good, the blender did not work, but other condo's were short on kitchen supplies. Wish WiFi was in all rooms. Over all, I love to visit Gulf Shores year and year again. I will be back next year! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

An easy trip down I-65 with only one night on the road has us looking forward to a month in Gulf Shores next winter. Sand piper has a great location, an elevator, and a pool. That's hard to beat for the price.

The stay was great. The only negative was the people staying above us. They had young kid(s) who started running back and forth inside the condo at about 7 to 7:30 AM. Other than that, the stay was very nice.

Recently my family rented 3 condos at Sandpiper and it was a perfect vacation. I like that the complex is low density making it very easy and friendly. No long waits for the elevator. Sandpiper is like you brought home with you to the beach!!!

Just wanted to comment that the heater in the pool didn't work several of the days we were there. Since we do have smaller children, this was disappointing. Our cable was out 1 day also but this probably couldn't be prevented. We did get to check in late (during the night) since we had car trouble, which the people at Bender Realty were very helpful with. However, when we did arrive at 1:30 a.m., we were very quiet and made sure to be very quite, but had another guest (must've been below us) come up RIGHT AWAY - my husband wasn't even into the condo yet and she was very angry and said something like "this is the 2nd night in a row people were running around up here and it has to stop." We had just arrived so obviously this wasn't us. Like I said before, we were very quiet. We assumed she must've been checking out the next day as we didn't think we saw her the rest of our vacation. Wasn't a very good way to start off our vacation (especially when we were trying to be courteous). Thanks.
