Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families often choose this property. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It comes highly recommended, and has the most repeat guests.

We had a wonderful week at the Sandpiper, and we will be back! However, we are unlikely to choose 4A again unless there are no other units available. The unit is very dated, carpet feels dirty, and kitchen is lacking in items that are found in other units (e.g. wine classes, serving bowls). The oven doesn't cook uniformly, and the washer and dryer had issues while we were there.

We enjoyed the location of the condo. Not too close to the elevator or pool yet close enough. Small but comfortable. Wish that condo owners would put some plastic cups in the units for kids. Bender staff was so nice and friendly.

My family has stayed at the sandpiper for 25 years. This was the 1st time the unit was not as clean as i have come to expect after 25 years of staying at the Sandpiper.The only other issues was Hurricane Sally. Up till she arrived it was a great time.
As always the folks at Bender were great ! Hope you & your families are safe & your wonderful town recovers soon.

We (6 friends and I) were pleasantly surprised by the complex. It was truly the only option available for our timeframe and without staying in a hotel. We enjoyed the communal type of kind of had a summer/church camp feel. The condo itself is a little outdated. The kitchen, the living room furniture and the blinds throughout in particular. The location, property management, and complex itself were all great. We enjoyed being right on the beach and close enough to restaurants and shops. We also felt very safe in this area and complex. Although the bedroom closets are full of stuff you might need for the beach (chairs and such) we missed the space for our luggage and our personal items. We didn’t need the extra items in the closet and it was all just kind of shoved in the closets taking up a lot of space and looked quite messy. We would visit this property again in a pinch, but might opt for a more updated unit if available.

Condo was clean but closets very cluttered. Beds were not comfortable at all. Love the beach in Gulf Shores. Love the Sandpiper and Bender Realty. Really enjoyed our stay just wish beds were more comfortable and bigger!!!

The only complaint I have is whoever stayed above us on 2nd floor, was jumping up and down and pounding on door sometime around midnight or after and i also saw lots of kids late at night running around the condos and running down the deck. It was so loud, I thought it was someone beating on the door to our condo. Plus people were still in pool long after 10:00. I think kids need to be in rooms after a certain time because not everyone stay up late.

Experience was good. There was a few other guest who weren’t pleasant. Making out in the pool in front of kids and a ton of big floats that you couldn’t move.

We come every year with a group of friends and this year my children and families came so it was an extra special vacation. Enjoyed have the family along with friends to enjoy but unfortunately, mother nature wasn't cooperating as usual but we still had fun. We had a fun and relaxing week enjoying our family time together. The only issue was that the bed in the master bedroom was not very comfortable, so my husband I would wake up each morning with a sore back. The guests in the other units were friendly and it was enjoyable to watch some large groups cook out together in the evenings.

The Sandpiper was a great place for families. It sits right on the
beach. There is also a heated pool if you want to get off of the
beach for a while. The people in the condos around us were very
friendly, as was the staff. The condo is just far enough away for
the strip that it is peaceful. There is a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer.
We did all of our cooking and eating in the condo. There is also a grilling
area which the guys loved. Overall a wonderful vacation. I have already
recommended it to many of our friends!!

Did not have a working dishwasher all week...struggled to get the problem resolved. Otherwise it was a great stay! We have been coming for years and will be back!

Family Vacation was great, due to the Sandpiper. Lovely place to stay. We recommend to many friends.

Apparently the furniture was moved from 5A into 4A but that even that was a significant improvement over the previous year. The new mattress in the master is much appreciated. The furniture is still a bit worn and the recliner is broke but all in all much better than the last several years....Still a great place to stay....

This was our 12th year at the Sandpiper. We bring all our children and grandchildern and we all feel at home there. We had 4 and 5 and really enjoyed our stay. The condos were very nice and they had made some upgrades since last year. We will see you next year.

We have been staying at Sandpiper for about 8 years. We enjoy the location and the fact that it is not a high rise. It is so nice to be right next to the pool and so close to the ocean. We had five condos this year and will probably have more next year.
