Bellingrath Gardens and Home was the creation of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bellingrath. In 1932, after a national garden club meeting on the grounds of their home, Mr. Bellingrath decided to share his spring garden with the public, and it’s been open to the public ever since.
The gardens are open year-round, and there’s always something wonderful blooming. If it’s not enough that the 65-acre Garden Estate is in full dress with camellias in the winter, azaleas in the spring, roses in the summer, chrysanthemums in autumn, then it’s Magic Christmas in Lights during the holiday season that keep people coming from all across the country. Coastal Segway Adventures on the Hugh S. Braynon Backcountry Trail
Life’s a balancing act at Coastal Segway Adventures. But don’t worry, they have helpful team members who will show you how to find your balance and maneuver a Segway. At Coastal Segway Adventures on the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, you get a guided tour to make sure you stay on balance and enjoy your time on the trails.
For two hours your group and your guide will roll along the trails exploring the distinct ecosystems. You’ll learn about the plants and likely catch sight of numerous birds, inserts, mammals, and possibly a few reptiles. After all, this is their home.
To help you plan your tour, keep these important policies in mind. Reservations are required and must be made by phone. All riders must be at least 12 years old. Riders ages 12 – 18 must have an adult sign for them. Groups are welcome, but must not exceed eight people. Each Segway has a weight limit of 275 pounds. And no open-toed shoes allowed.
